I believe in an inclusive classroom. Every child will be celebrated for who they are and their individual learning needs will be accommodated for.I believe in holistic education, educating the social, emotional and physical well-being of the child, as well as their minds.I believe in differentiation and facilitating lessons that appeal to the multiple intelligences and that provide student voice and choice.I believe in connecting the curriculum to real life authentic experiences to help engage and motivate students to invest in their learning and create meaning.I believe in student collaboration. Learning will be greatest when we work together and learn from each other through group work and Learning Centres.I believe in having fun! I will take risks, think outside of the box and never stop trying new things in my classroom.I believe in the incorporation of technology as a tool for learning. Students live in a digital world and I will prepare them for that reality.I want my students to developing 21st century competencies such as Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving, Collaboration, Communication, Personal Development and Self-Awareness, Global Citizenship. I believe in life-long learning and Professional Learning Communities. I will model my commitment to education to help motivate my students.
